OUR STAFF

Our Registered Manager is Mrs Sheila Webb RMN who has 34 years nursing experience which has included managing Nursing Homes and Homes for the Elderly and teaching young adults with learning difficulties.  Sheila has qualifications in Further Education Teaching, Special Needs Teaching and is an accredited People Handling & Risk Assessment Trainer.  She is a registered NVQ Assessor and registered with the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health as a teacher of Food basic Hygiene and holds a 998 Nurse Teaching Certificate.

All staff are provided with training by Libertycare in all aspects of personal care and Health & Safety procedures to ensure that they maintain high standards and continue to work in accordance with latest procedures and the requirements of the National Minimum Standards for Domiciliary Care.  The majority of Care Workers have applied for training to "NVQ in Care Level 2" and will undertake the necessary training as places become available with an external Training Provider.

National Minimum Standards require that 50% of care staff are qualified to NVQ Level 2 or higher by 2008.  We currently have approximately 50% of our staff qualified to NVQ Level 2 or above, including 2 staff holding NVQ Level 3, 1 holding a BTEC Award in Social Care and 1 being a registered nurse.

All our staff are fully employed and insured by us and we are fully responsible for their actions.
